Please read the below Terms and Conditions that apply to services booked at Smooch Ya Pooch
I agree to disclose any pervious or current medical issues, injuries, behavioural issues, or any concerns relating to my pet/s with my groomer.
I present my dog in good health and my pet/s is current on all vaccinations, heart worm, and is free from worms, fleas, and ticks.
I also agree that I will not hold Smooch Ya Pooch or any of its staff responsible for any of the
following:
Neglected and Mattered coats – (Clip Off)
I agree that Smooch Ya Pooch and its Staff may have to clip off my pet’s coat (If deemed
necessary) to release my pet from its mattered coat. I will not hold Smooch Ya Pooch or their
staff accountable or liable for any post grooming effects of this service, which I understand in
some situations this may occur, and extra fees will apply for any matting as it takes longer to
get it off safely.
Property Damage/ Personal injury:
I agree to be held liable for any bites, injuries, doctors or hospital fees and or property damage caused by my pet/s during it stay with Smooch Ya Pooch, and that if my pet/s is uncontrollable or a risk of hurting staff or itself, the groomer will stop the session and my dog will be sent home incomplete and I will be charged for the amount of grooming that has been completed and/or charged additional fees for handling my difficult pet/s.
Up-Front Booking fees:
I agree Smooch Ya Pooch has the right to charge all clients an upfront booking fees of 50% of
the estimated groom fee and agree that this comes off the final groom price or is forfeited if I no-show or don’t give the requested 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
No Show and last-minute cancellation fees and running late:
I agree if I do not turn up on time to my booked/scheduled appointment, that I am liable for 50% of the groom fee,which is payable on the day, and that I am required to give a minimum 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel appointments or I will be charged 100% of the grooming fee to cover the groomers time that can’t be filled at short notice and fees must be paid before any other booking will be made. If I am running late, I will contact Smooch Ya Pooch ASAP. if I’m more than 15 minutes late my appointment will be cancelled, and I will be charged 50% of the grooming fee.
Medical and Veterinarian fees:
I give Smooch Ya Pooch and it’s staff my permission to seek any medical advice or
intervention regarding my pet/s, including any injuries requiring medical attention as
deemed necessary. Whether or not I can be contacted or not, I agree that the veterinarians.
decision if final. I agree that I the owner of said pet/s are solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred for my pet/s and I also agree to pay the vets service prior to collecting my pet/s.
Refuse Service:
I understand that Smooch Ya Pooch can refuse to service or treatment of grooming that may pose a risk/threat to staff, owners or other pet/s in their immediate or future care due to aggression from dog or client or due to age, health, parasite issues, ear infection or other contagious/spreadable skin or zoological diseases.
Additional Fees:
I agree Smooch Ya Pooch reserves the right to charge additional fees for any of their services that are considered over and above the normal or estimated fees covered by the standard rates. Additional fees will be incurred when your pet is over the recommended 8-week max policy or to groom difficult dogs, dogs that exhibits risky behaviours, has flees or other skin conditions that require special treatments.
Abandon or late pick up rules and regulations and fees:
Pet/s are expected to be collected within half an hour of owner receiving text that their pet is finished, or fees apply. If a pet/s has not been collected by close of business hours and
arrangements have not been made prior; I am liable to be charged $50 (boarding fee). I also
understand that if I do not contact staff at Smooch Ya Pooch prior and make arrangements, staff will by law contact RSPCA inspectors and hand over your pet/s and it will be up to you,
the pet/s owner to sort out any fees that may be incurred.
Photos:
I agree to allow my pet/s to be photographed before, during and after their grooming session/s and that these images may be used on Smooch Ya Pooch’s Website, Facebook,
Instagram or other sites for advertising. I also understand it can be used as evidence or
suspected abuse or neglected pets and reported to RSPCA Inspectors.
Old Dogs:
I Understand that my dog is older and may at any stage of the grooming process have a fit,
Seizure, Stroke or Heart Attack. I will not hold the owner or staff accountable and am consent for them to administer first aid and take them to the vets for treatment at my (Pet Owners) expense.

- Accidental injury or death of my pet/s due to pre-existing or current conditions.
- Potential stressful or detrimental effects that grooming may have on any pet (no matter age).
- For minor nicks, cuts, skin irritation resulting from grooming of mattered or neglected coats.
- The responsibility is on myself, the owner of the pet/s to inform the business and its staff of any medical issues that may affect or impact my pet during the grooming session/service and ensure my pet/s coat is maintained at home between professional grooming appointments as advised by my groomer or staff.
